Aerial Fabric

Escape to scenic Vermont for this three-day aerial silks immersion. This is your opportunity to master sequences geared towards performance, train big drops in our 40 ft ceiling, take advantage of our foam pit, and push your mind and body to learn and absorb A LOT of fabric in one weekend.

Aerial dance theory is all about the movement decisions an aerialist makes in their transitions between precise technical elements in their wraps and tricks. Learn how to cultivate and incorporate this theory while executing a breathtaking display of strength & flexibility within complex choreography.

Ages:
16 & up or by permission of instructor

Prerequisites:
Students should have a regular aerial fabric practice, have the stamina to stay in the air for five minutes through complicated sequences, and be able to invert in the air repeatedly for the duration of the workshop. Students should be comfortable wrapping an s-wrap and performing a windmill to both sides, whiles also having familiarity with forwards, backwards, and sideways rotations.

About The Coach
Kerry Wee is known for her aerial dance style and is currently an instructor at The Aerium in San Antonio & formerly at Womack & Bowman The Loft for almost a decade. As a former commercial dancer in LA for over 20 years she’s performed with Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Shakira, Motley Crue, Jane’s Addiction and many more artists, productions and shows.

Now, as an educator, Kerry is most passionate about developing highly skilled aerialists and cultivating diversity in our circus classrooms. She’s the host and producer of The Expecting Aerialist podcast now in it’s fifth season where she interviews aerialist all over the world about how they’re reshaping the experience of having babies and being moms.
