Coaching Staff

Solveig Gannon

Solveig has loved circus since her first child started in the mommy and me classes at NECCA. When her second child was 9 months old she decided she needed more strength and to do something playful so she joined a beginner fabric class and was hooked. That was 14 years ago. Since then she’s taken countless classes on nearly every apparatus that NECCA offers but fabric and other aerials are her love.

Several years ago she began training to be a coach and is now happily teaching Silver Circus and Mixed Aerials classes at NECCA. Seeing people grow stronger and impress themselves with their abilities is her happy place. She also loves the NECCA community, which has been such a blessing over the years. Also, talking about herself in the third person…

In her past life she’s been a co-owner of a small software development firm, helping to create the University of California Study Abroad Program (UCEAP) online student program, served as Vice President of the NECCA board and president of the board of her kids’ nursery school, worked as a research assistant for the University of Maryland Language Research Center, wrote a position paper on language rights for minority language groups for Jalal Talabani to inform the writing of the interim Iraqi constitution (2005). Currently she’s developing the content management processes for the Brattleboro Music Center and doing reception as well as front of house concert work and wearing the many hats of a nonprofit employee.
