At NECCA, we’re proud to be the leader in professional circus arts training in the U.S., but we can’t do it alone. Unlike circus schools in other countries, we don’t receive government funding and rely on the generosity of donors to sustain our programs.

By contributing to NECCA, you empower us to focus on what matters most: our students, our mission, and our community. Every dollar you give supports initiatives that make NECCA a cornerstone of accessibility, wellness, and artistic excellence.
With your help, we can continue to provide free and low cost circus performances and programs to the community. Our involvement in events like the Gallery Walk, Brattleboro Goes Fourth, and SilverCircus (our program for circus enthusiasts over 60) contributes to the local community culture that the circus is always in town!
Your contributions make it possible to sustain our financial aid fund for recreational programs that promote health, wellness and community. This year, we have already given over $30,000 in direct financial aid, a 10% increase from last year. This included six 100% scholarships valuing $2,400 to Afghan refugee children for school break camp, inviting them to play, build confidence and focus on relationships and belonging.
Your donations help sustain professional circus artist education and keep American Circus flying high! The number of international students in our ProTrack program has grown this year and our professional students need more support as a whole to afford tuition for our program. We keep tuition rates at 75% of the actual cost of a professional education to increase accessibility and support the future of American Circus Arts.
NECCA gives back in big ways!
NECCA gave aid to 75 students, giving them the opportunity to pursue their passions and dreams.
NECCA provided free classes to 86 staff members and their children, keeping dollars moving in the local economy.
NECCA delivered free or discounted programs at 9 locations in the area.
NECCA hosted over 40 different unique shows in 2023. Twelve of those were free or donation only to over 800 audience members.
Producing over 40 free and low cost shows provides accessible cultural experiences to a diverse audience, enriching the lives of residents, fostering a sense of community, encouraging new creative work in a supportive environment, and giving emerging artists the experience to shine.
Free and low cost programs like Silver Circus and Youth Classes not only provide mental and physical health, but give anyone the confidence and creativity to be part of the circus community at any age and level.
Providing financial aid in our rural New England community keeps circus accessible for students in all our programs. Access empowers students to pursue their passion and helps everyone to benefit in their own way from the transformative power of circus.
With an annual cost of over $300,000 to operate our Trapezium and update rigging and equipment, your donation is crucial for the safety of our students and staff.
